Job Summary

Our client is seeking experienced Safety Officers to support Transmission & Substation construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, ensuring compliance with international safety standards, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across project sites.

 
Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, local regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE awareness training.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare reports.
  • Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain HSE documentation, permits, and safety records.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities and safety drills.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety performance throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Must have Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Occupational Health & Safety
    • Engineering
    • Science
    • Other related disciplines
  • Minimum 6-10 years of HSE/Safety experience.
  • Experience in Transmission Line and/or Substation construction projects is mandatory.
  • Candidates with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in transmission or substation projects are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working on EPC or infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • NEBOSH Certificate (Mandatory)
  • Additional HSE certifications (IOSH, OSHA, etc.) are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and international safety standards.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently in project environments.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
