Description
Requirement :

Comprehensive understanding of dry stack tailings technology, including the design, construction, operation, and closure aspects
Ensuring the facility is operated safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies
Implementing and maintaining strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and investigating any incidents.
Overseeing the maintenance and monitoring of all facility components, including drainage systems, storage areas, and access roads.
Ensuring the facility complies with all applicable environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
Managing and training a team of personnel involved in the operation and maintenance of the DSTF
Controlling and reporting on operational costs.
Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including management, regulatory agencies, and the public, and providing regular reports on facility performance.
Identifying and resolving operational issues, including potential risks and hazards.
Working closely with other departments, such as engineering, geology, and environmental management, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Identifying opportunities to improve the facility’s performance and sustainability.

Qualification :

10 – 15 years experience in related field, 5 – 7 in managerial position
Bachelor degree in engineering (Civil, Geotech, environmental) or a related field is often required
Significant experience in the operation and management of tailings storage facilities, particularly dry stack systems, Geotech, Hydrology.
The ability to lead and motivate a team, manage resources, and make sound decisions under pressure
Have a good communication skill (both Bahasa or English, Mandarin will be advantaged)
Have ability to identify and resolve operational issues, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
A thorough understanding of environmental regulations, safety standards, and best practices for tailings management.
Experience with tailings management software, data analysis tools, and other relevant technologies.
