Description
Requirement :
 

  • Comprehensive understanding of dry stack tailings technology, including the design, construction, operation, and closure aspects
  • Ensuring the facility is operated safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies
  • Implementing and maintaining strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and investigating any incidents. 
  • Overseeing the maintenance and monitoring of all facility components, including drainage systems, storage areas, and access roads. 
  • Ensuring the facility complies with all applicable environmental regulations and reporting requirements. 
  • Managing and training a team of personnel involved in the operation and maintenance of the DSTF
  • Controlling and reporting on operational costs. 
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including management, regulatory agencies, and the public, and providing regular reports on facility performance. 
  • Identifying and resolving operational issues, including potential risks and hazards. 
  • Working closely with other departments, such as engineering, geology, and environmental management, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. 
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the facility’s performance and sustainability.

 
Qualification :
 

  • 10 – 15 years experience in related field, 5 – 7 in managerial position   
  • Bachelor degree in engineering (Civil, Geotech, environmental) or a related field is often required
  • Significant experience in the operation and management of tailings storage facilities, particularly dry stack systems, Geotech, Hydrology.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team, manage resources, and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Have a good communication skill (both Bahasa or English, Mandarin will be advantaged) 
  • Have ability to identify and resolve operational issues, analyze data, and make informed decisions. 
  • A thorough understanding of environmental regulations, safety standards, and best practices for tailings management. 
  • Experience with tailings management software, data analysis tools, and other relevant technologies.
