Role Overview
This role bridges project accountability and commercial strategy. You will work closely with the product manager
and technical teams to keep development on track, within budget, and aligned with group objectives. Beyond
internal rollout, your key focus will be shaping the product strategy, building the go-to-market plan, pricing models,
and establishing a roadmap for customer and vendor growth, particularly in the mining and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Business Development
– Develop the go-to-market strategy for the procurement platform, starting internally and expanding to
external B2B clients
– Define and validate pricing models, customer value propositions, and target industry verticals
– Build relationships with strategic stakeholders in the mining and manufacturing sectors
– Plan and lead initiatives to grow the vendor database and ensure onboarding quality
Product Positioning & Internal Stakeholder Engagement
– Translate business needs into product growth opportunities and communicate them to the technical/product
team
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the platform solves real procurement challenges across
group companies
– Package platform benefits into compelling internal and external-facing messaging
Project Oversight & Progress Reporting
– Monitor project timelines and ensure development milestones are being met
– Track progress, budgets, risks, and opportunities—and communicate updates to senior leadership
– Identify bottlenecks and help resolve cross-functional misalignments
Required Experience & Background
– 5-8 years experience in business development, product strategy, or project management—preferably in
procurement, SaaS, ERP, or enterprise platforms
– Strong understanding of procurement workflows and enterprise purchasing needs
– Proven experience in launching or scaling B2B products, ideally within mining, manufacturing, or
industrial sectors
– Comfortable working with technical and product teams to translate commercial requirements into
functional priorities
