JOB DESCRIPTION – EHS MANAGER

Location: Jakarta or Cikarang
Job Purpose Developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Main Accountabilities Key Result Area | Key Accountabilities Health & Safety Management
- Develop and implement site-specific HSE plans, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure effective emergency preparedness and response plans are in place.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct safety inductions and training programs for employees and subcontractors.
- Promote a strong safety culture by leading toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
- Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and workers on EHS best practices.
Environmental Management
- Implement environmental protection measures (waste management, pollution control, energy conservation).
- Monitor environmental impact of construction activities and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Support sustainability initiatives and reporting requirements.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain updated EHS documentation, records, and permits.
- Prepare and submit EHS performance reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with local authorities, inspectors, and clients on safety and environmental matters.
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead the EHS team and supervise Safety Officers / Coordinators.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors to integrate EHS into daily operations.
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to EHS requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in EHS, with at least 5 years in a construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, local regulations, and environmental laws.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
