Assistant Manager Projects (Indian), Jakarta
1. Job Purpose
Responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical works on-site, including piping, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and schedule requirements.
2. Main Accountabilities

Project Planning & Coordination
- Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to plan mechanical works.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other discipline superintendents to align work progress.
- Prepare manpower and equipment plans for mechanical works.
Site Supervision
- Supervise and monitor all mechanical installation activities, ensuring compliance with standards and codes.
- Ensure subcontractors and workforce follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Conduct daily site inspections to check work quality and progress.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure mechanical works meet project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and material submittals related to mechanical works.
- Coordinate inspections with QA/QC team and clients.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track daily work progress and prepare reports for management.
- Identify and resolve any technical or scheduling issues affecting mechanical works.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide updates.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce HSE policies and ensure safe working conditions for all site personnel.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensures proper use of PPE.
- Report and investigate any incidents related to mechanical works.
Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
- Assist in managing mechanical work budgets and cost control.
- Review and approve subcontractor bills and invoices for mechanical works.
3. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in mechanical works for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASME, SMACNA, NFPA, etc.).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices.
