Job Title: Technical Lead – PKI & Digital Identity
Location: South Jakarta
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Tech Lead to guide a team of engineers while staying hands-on across backend, frontend and mobile development. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will turn business requirements into reliable, secure and maintainable software. This role suits someone who enjoys solving hard technical problems, growing the people around them, and seeing their work become the security foundation that thousands of users rely on every day.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery: Optimize development value so results are delivered on time, on quality and on budget. Plan capacity across products and customer projects with clear ownership and task tracking, and run at least one development lifecycle from planning to release with automated CI/CD.
- Technical ownership: Own technical decisions and architecture for our platform, including performance, reliability and incident response. Review code and designs across the stack, and take on critical work yourself.
- Security and standards: Set standards for code quality, testing and code review, embed security at every stage of development, and maintain the processes and evidence behind our certifications.
- Collaboration and innovation: Work with stakeholders across the business to turn business needs into technical solutions, introduce new tools and ways of working, and take on other technical work as business goals require.
- People leadership: Mentor and grow engineers, lead team planning and knowledge sharing, fostering continuous improvement.
Requirements:
You’re an experienced engineer who has led cross-functional teams while staying hands-on in the code. You understand PKI and cryptography in practice and bring the discipline to help a team deliver high-quality products consistently.
- Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), and 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership and at least one full development lifecycle led from planning to release.
- Engineering: Strong hands-on Go skills and the ability to review React/TypeScript/Tailwind CSS frontend and Flutter mobile code, plus experience with API design (REST, OAuth2/OIDC), containers and Kubernetes (Rancher RKE2), automated CI/CD (Jenkins, Bitbucket), cloud or on-premise infrastructure, and AI-powered
- development workflows and tools.
- Security: Experience building security-critical systems (e.g. authentication, identity, biometric), with threat modelling and secure design practices (e.g. OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC), and experience working under ISO 27001 or similar frameworks, including maintaining process documentation and audit evidence.
- Cryptography and PKI: Solid grasp of applied cryptography (encryption, hashing, digital signatures, key management) and familiarity with PKI, X.509 and the certificate lifecycle (issuance, renewal, revocation via CRL/OCSP).
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, experience working with project, product and business stakeholders in Agile, cross-functional teams, including leading sprint planning and mentoring through code reviews, pairing and feedback, fluent Bahasa Indonesia and good working English.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with CA software, HSMs (PKCS#11), ACME (RFC 8555), or digital signature standards (PAdES, CAdES, XAdES).
- Experience delivering products under Common Criteria, FIPS 140-3 or similar security certification.
- Experience with MFA methods such as OTP, push authentication or FIDO2.
- Experience integrating AI/ML, LLM or biometric services into production systems.
