Perfumer, Industrial Flavors (Jakarta or Cikarang)
Job Title: Perfumer
Reporting to: Director of Product R&D
Main Responsibilities:
- Flavor Development and Innovation: Independently create and replicate sweet/savory essences, developing forward-thinking essence products based on market demands and customer proposals;
- Formula and Technical Management: Design, adjust, optimize, and update essence formulas, and prepare related technical documents (e.g., formulas, process standards, etc.);
- Production Process Support: Guide trial production of new products, resolve potential technical issues during mass production, and ensure product quality stability;
- Market and Technical Support: Assist the marketing team in visiting key customers, provide professional technical support, deeply understand customer needs, and promptly adjust samples;
- Industry Insight: Continuously monitor new ingredients, technologies, regulations, and market trends in the food essence industry, and apply them to practical R&D work.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Applied Chemistry, Essence and Flavor Technology, or related fields; 3 years or more of experience in food essence perfumery, with the ability to independently create/replicate flavors;
- Familiarity with the characteristics and applications of various essence raw materials, and mastery of basic perfumery principles and techniques;
- Understanding of food-related laws, regulations, and quality management systems;
- Exceptional flavor sensitivity, outstanding olfactory and gustatory discrimination, and strong flavor creation/replication skills;
- A strong innovation mindset, cost awareness, excellent communication skills, teamwork spirit, and the ability to handle work pressure.
