Chief Safety, Palm Oil Industry, Medan (North Sumatera)
Job Purpose:
- Direct and control all aspect of the Safety Department in Medan Complex.
- Control safety activities under observation of agreed safety standards.
- Ensuring to all Safety Department in 3 factories in Medan Complex are well maintain according to establish procedure.
- Responsible for the overall safety planning: organizing, direction and operation of safety activities and safety people in 3 factories in Medan Complex.
Accountability:
- Ensure all safety system and procedures are well implemented in the company.
- Analysis, feedback and report for safety information to all Company’s GM.
- Ensure effective communication, coordination, and information as chief safety to all management team and Safety Representative in each factory;
- Work with each factory safety representative in consultation with respective GM to ensure timely and proper implementation of safety action plan and activities in accordance with Indonesia and safety regulation standards;
- Coordination with the management team in 3 factories to ensure all the safety findings to be follow up and close them as scheduling
- Maintain safe, continuous improvement, efficient and cost effective in safety department;
- Periodically report the progress of safety program and key issues of all factories to all GM;
- Ensure safety committee meeting and safety coordination are implement and compliance in 3 factories;
- Coordinate with safety representative to implement safety objective or Key Performance Indicators;
- Responsible for carrying out in handling emergency situation and coordination with other emergency response team member
- Conduct and organize safety training/workshop for the 3 factory
- Identify safety best practice of each plant and implementing them in all location.
- Control and monitoring day to day actives and evaluate yearly performance appraisal of safety superintendent and safety officer.
- Enforce and participation actively in the implementation of management system such as SMK3, 1SO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, HACCP, 5S, SNI, RSPO and other programs.
- Perform and carry out any tasks required and instructed by superior.
Qualifications
- Education: Min. S1
- Major: Mechanical, Chemical, of Technical Background
- Language: Good command in English both oral and written
- Computer: Good skill in Microsoft Office

- Total Experience: Experience More than 4 years
- Position: in the same field or relevant industry in the same field or relevant industry.
