2. Job Purpose
    
Supervise and ensure that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are executed in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes

Quality Control & Compliance

  1. Ensure all MEP works comply with project specifications, drawings, and relevant standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
  2. Review and approve Material Inspection Requests (MIR), Method Statements, and ITP (Inspection & Test Plans) for MEP works.
  3. Conduct inspections for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems at different stages of installation.

Inspection & Testing

  1. Perform site inspections for mechanical and electrical installations (ducting, piping, cable trays, panels, etc.).
  2. Monitor pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for all MEP systems.
  3. Witness pressure tests, insulation tests, and other required tests.

Documentation & Reporting

  1. Prepare and maintain QC documentation, including checklists, inspection reports, NCR (Non-Conformance Reports), and QA logs.
  2. Coordinate with the QA/QC Manager for final handover documentation and approvals.    

Coordination & Communication

  1.  Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants for quality-related matters.
  2. Coordinate with MEP engineers to ensure proper installation and quality control at site.
  3. Report quality issues and propose corrective actions.

Safety & Compliance

  1. Ensure MEP activities adhere to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
  2. Stop any work that does not comply with quality or safety requirements.

4. Job Requirements
    

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
  2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in MEP quality control for large-scale projects (high-rise, commercial, or industrial).
  3. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards.
  4. Familiarity with ISO 9001, QA/QC procedures, and quality auditing.
  5. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA/QC documentation.
  6. Excellent understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  8. Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  9. Ability to handle multiple inspections and maintain proper documentation.
