About Our Client

We are working with Indonesia’s leading real estate investment & asset management company to place a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The role reports to the CEO and is Jakarta based. Our Client has an established hotel development track record and has successfully navigated the local as well as global market. We encourage those with strong banking / asset management / real estate funding experience to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputed institution (majoring in either business administration, economics, finance, real estate or equivalent)
  • Master’s degree with an emphasis on finance, economics / real estate would be a plus
  • CFA credential would be an advantage
  • 15 years +  of relevant work experience in local / foreign banks OR property companies
  • Experience in a senior position leading real estate financing within an established Indonesian / foreign bank operating in Indonesia would be preferable
  • Having both international as well as local Indonesian experience is an advantage
  • Solid debt financing background and understanding of all aspects of debt financing, tax structuring & solid financial reporting
  • Demonstrated leadership in prior roles including identification, hiring, and retention of a well-performing team
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Honesty, integrity, strong work ethic, and a self-starter
  • Proven track record in corporate finance and debt sourcing relationships
  • Superior understanding of real estate investment structuring with multiple market knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and delegate
  • Able to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Strong expertise in real estate / traditional financial asset classes such as fixed income and equity investments would be useful

Responsibilities

  • Setting Financial Strategy for the Company and its’ portfolios
  • Managing financial accounting and budgets
  • Quarterly management reporting, tax planning and securing of bank loans for JVs / real estate funds
  • Play an integral role in debt and corporate financing
  • Provide insight & direction as well as leading the finance and accounting teams for all financial reporting / planning, risks, compliance, tax & audit issues
  • Liaising with key committee members, banking institutions and external stakeholders
  • Cashflow planning and optimization of the company’s financing options to ensure adequate funding for existing and new projects
  • Development, maintenance, and diversification of banking relationships
  • Negotiation and securing project financings for the real estate project developments
  • Managing the processes for annual and quarterly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting and budgets
  • Overseeing the preparation and timeliness of all financial reporting
  • Prepare yearly financial KPIs for all BUs and be responsible for department’s performance & key action plans
  • Report and present quarterly financial performance to the Board and JV partners
  • Oversee project tender processes and ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance of corporate governance for all project tenders
  • Work closely with the company and its holding on internal audit & corp governance compliance
  • Ensure organization / JV compliance and fund’s legal requirements with relevant parties / authorities
  • Implementation of risk management policies which are in line with the company’s mandate
