About Our Client
We have been retained by a European Embassy in Indonesia to place a Commercial Advisor in their trade team. This person will work with green transition and business development in Indonesia. We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing, creative, self-motivating, and sales-driven business advisor who can spark interests of Indonesian and Southeast Asian markets to businesses.The main task is to drive business development and engage companies to prioritize in the Indonesia & SEA market. Since this role also involves working on complicated regulation related issues, we encourage candidates with strong public affairs background working in a highly regulated sector to apply. Drive complete sales process in the Indonesian and Southeast Asian market by linking knowledge of market opportunities / demands with solutions present within green transition. Initiate as well as execute the deals and businesses within green transition in emerging economies. Liaise with the government, network with relevant parties and approach bureaucracy. Solve issues which may arise during deals initiation and execution. Be responsible for public affairs, networks, and engagement within the government as well as other relevant sectors. Collaborate with sector specialists and commercial team at the embassies across SEA along with Indonesian stakeholders to strengthen understanding of challenges / opportunities within green transition in emerging economies.
An undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, or equivalent. (Postgraduate preferred)2-3 years’ relevant work experience (preferably within the green sector), including documented international sales, consulting or business development experience. Fluency in English, both written and spoken. A strong commercial mindset and interest in promoting solutions within renewable energy, efficiency, circular economy, waste & water management. The ability to identify, develop, and drive larger business concepts. An eagerness to be part of a busy trade team and a larger regional Cleantech team across SEA. The ability to think outside the box, kickstart new ideas, and take them to the next level. The willingness to be part of a flat structure organization and be self-motivating & proactive.
