We are assisting our client, a data center and hybrid computing solutions provider, to search professional talent for the post of BMS Manager

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related fields preferred.
In lieu of B.E. degree, must have a minimum of ten (10) years as an Automation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or BMS design Engineer or equivalent in a Data center related work environment, or a combination of education, service, and/or practical work experience.
3- 7 years of relevant facilities maintenance, Project management, BMS commissioning and repair experience in a commercial, Data center or industrial setting.
Knowledge on networking with understanding of redundant BMS architecture.
Knowledge on IOT projects.
Experience with data center equipment/environments, including switch gears, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems, and an understanding of start-up /commissioning processes preferred.
Focus with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. With eye for details; and has done troubleshooting of BMS / IBMS systems in a live system.
Hands-on experience in Data center operation, Design and projects.
Good interpersonal skills including good verbal and written communication in English.
Knowledge in PMP and certification In Data center Design professional is an added advantage.
Preferable any one certification – LEED GA/AP, CEM & PE and association with ASHRAE

Responsibilities

Good record of BMS project management, BMS designing, IOT understanding.
Provide electrical design for a wide range of projects, and work with other engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed.
Design and install electrical and BMS control system to meet refrigeration system requirements in projects. With an eye for details for continuous improvement.
High level of technical skills and proactively responding to network, BMS designing, Network designing and IT infrastructure technical as well as end user computing issues.
Having knowledge of IT infrastructure.
Familiar with local design code for Electrical and Control system design.
Working knowledge of building energy management systems.
Has good understanding of data center efficiency & Controls; but not limited to BMS Control, pneumatic controls, mechanical Control systems, lighting controls, access control and backup emergency systems for efficient functioning of Data centers.
Working knowledge on field instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, and flow devices typically connected to an automation system.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and return all automation systems to efficient operation condition.
Capable of working out in the field and performing troubleshooting of BMS controller & IO devices.
Capability to proactively identify SPOFs and suggest improvements to the existing BMS system to reduce BMS-related system failures, and to improve the efficiency of the building.
Proficient in industrial protocols like BACnet, Modbus and other Open protocols (hardware and software required).
Maintain advanced technical skills with solid workings of Automation Platforms.
Review and understand the project documents, BMS submission and Validation of the technical specification.
Ensure best installation practice to the field team, to ensure the control system installation standards of quality are always maintained and improved. Also, Develop and oversee all aspects of installation including electrical installation, control system, selection of components, equipment, installation method, testing, and implementation of the Refrigeration / HVAC systems.
Ensure project expectations are always effectively communicated to the customers and project stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
Willing to learn, accept opportunity for creative design with strong theoretical knowledge for commercial and industrial Refrigeration / HVAC projects.
Should have quick decision-making capability to overcome a site incident with minimal downtime.
Should have good technical and Interpersonal skills, good judgement, clear communication skills, self-driven and ability to help others. Knowledge of digital Twin will be an added advantage.
Knowledge about calculating the building load and designing BMS structure to reduce the PUE of the Data center.
