Sales Head – Mobile Video Advertising Platform

About Our Client

Our client is a leading mobile video advertisement platform in Asia. They specialize in rewarded video ads within mobile games and are looking for a Sales Group Head for their Indonesia business.

This role is Jakarta based.


  • Relevant work experience between 5-8 years as an executive in digital / advertising agency;
  • In-depth understanding of and profound expertise in digital media and advertising;
  • Strong communication, presentation, and sales skills with knack for consultative selling;
  • Have strong existing network / relationships with media agencies across Indonesia (GroupM / Publicis / IPG / DAN / Havas / OMGP, others);
  • Good understanding of the digital agency ecosystem and all its key stakeholders such as planners, buyers, traders, digital heads, programmatic desks, etc.;
  • Familiar with Facebook and Google works in the market;
  • Knowledgeable on all key digital media metrics and KPIs such as CPM, CPCV, completion rates, brand safety, in-target, engagement rates etc.;
  • Have a basic understanding of digital media spending trends / patterns across categories such as FMCG (consumer goods), telecom, f&b, QSRs, e-commerce, entertainment etc.;
  • Understand the competitive landscape in terms of networks, publishers, and ad-tech platforms in Indonesia;
  • Well-versed with all aspects of the programmatic ecosystem in terms of DSPs, SSPs, Trading Desks, PMPs, PG, etc.;
  • Have an understanding of trading within media agencies and the ability to close preferred partner / trading deals in the market;
  • Basic understanding of data, audience profiles, third party tools, and other relevant technologies in digital brand advertising.


  • Sell digital media with exposure to digital publishers or networks dealing in display / mobile / video;
  • Business development and building relationships with clients;
  • Directly report to Country Lead;
  • Ability to set up, build, and grow new business;
  • Network and build relationships with head and top levels of agencies as well as clients in Indonesia;
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends, technologies, and pricing models for display / mobile / video platforms;
  • Focus on market development and creating incremental revenue sources from new clients;
  • Strategic development of client base;
  • Partner and work with media fraternity such as advertisers and agency planners / buyers;
  • Handle all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, negotiating, and the ability to sell based on value instead of price;
  • Ability to strike effective conversations, find need gaps, and get briefs for campaigns;
  • Establish sales strategies & action plans to win new agencies;
  • Identify and generate potential profitable business relationships / opportunities by studying integration of new growth areas / trends accompanied with company strategies and operations;
  • Examine risks and potentials;
  • Estimate partners’ needs and goals;
  • Coordinate on requirements as well as developing and convincing clients with support from internal / functional teams;
  • Integrate contract requirements with business operations;
  • Lead and develop a strong sales team to provide the utmost standards of client service and sales achievements;
  • Empower, coach, delegate, and retain qualified members that will contribute to unit goals and the company at large;
  • Screening potential business deals by analyzing the situation, understanding the client’s needs, and collaborating with other functional teams to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet objectives;
  • Advice, motivate, and manage team and their priorities;
  • Forecast and planning in order to guide / supervise team’s targets and achievements;
  • Identify new areas of growth and upsell opportunities between client’s needs and the company’s products.
